    HELP needed!

So, this is the thieving scumbag that stole my boys brand new Yamaha MT07 yesterday from the Holiday Inn in Manchester. If anyone can supply any information about this guy or the van in the pics then I would be extremely grateful. No use speaking to GMP, they couldn't catch a cold! The theft was witnessed by an off duty officer who called it in but their only reaction was to phone the hotel!
Good coverage on CCTV but still no one from the police has been to view it. This is the second brand new MT07 he has had nicked in two months and he is heartbroken.

Yeah well, the bike was fully data tagged and secured with a disc lock and a Thatcham approved chain with alarm that cost him 160! They just cut through the chain and lifted it into the van, chain and all! Took them 18 seconds from start to finish. It's just too easy and they know that the Police don't have the resources or the will to deal with this type of crime. Insurance is gonna go through the roof if something isn't done about it soon.

You have the license plate of the truck on video, and no one can be bothered to look up who owns the truck and go talk with them? Doesn't seem right.

There's no way in the UK for a civilian to find out the owner of a vehicle using the number plate.

If it's any help, the van was MOT'd on 6th May @ MOT centre, unit 4, Ormond St, Bury, BL97AJ, they'll have records......

I wasn't suggesting that individuals pursue the thieves... But that much info should be a "gimme" for police, I would think!

Probably the Insurance company holding the paper for the bike has just as many resources as the police and a whole lot more incentive to make a recovery.
