Our starter uses rollers under the rear wheel...the rider can have the switch under his foot to control it...out on the Salt we didn't bother with that using one of the crew to operate it.

Simple procedure to operate.

Here's Ito's fairing and bubble on his SR...

The starter you're using Stew, I had been looking for new and used, It exceeded the money flow at this time.

But I will say this It does not quite have enough Tq to push through TDC from the start, It pulls through perfect if off TDC. The first test took about 2 sec before fire. To solve this problem, put it 4th, spin or push the back tire about 1/4 turn just enough to reset stroke. This is the 2nd firing of the motor. Ran ok needs jetting, I have a dyno set for early May.
Looking forward to Sat, I might get to run some laps for breakin at AM practice.

The fit on that fairing looks like it was made for it. I have had little sucess
tracking down what fairing I have. No model #'s or make, just have the
production date. I have a good fit with mine, just seems a little bulky to
me.. I do like that fairing on the black SR
Cheers for now.....

the old delta rollers required a vehicle assistance and someone from my crew. I love the foot controlled starter.

Well heck, that works just fine. Sorry I had any doubts.
Good luck this season!

Update: Ran the Motocorsa day, the new parts worked great, I am very
happy with the engine upgrade, pulls alot harder than stock  Duh.
I did find a drop off of pull around 6k rpm, it still pulls to red line.
Ok, so a mate of mine has a 2 year old 41mm flat slide smoothbore, he does
not need or want it, I go over Sat and scope it out, a good price!!

The other issue I found was the header, it likes to hit the ground with
the new rear tire, more lean, closer to the ground, I have a link here for
some pics, check out the last few shots you can see the header in one
of them either touching or skirting the tarmac. I know I can compensate
with body english, I just did not expect it....

I did use the video cam this time. In this one the engine was broken in, so
I ran it a little harder, the fellows in the red shirts are the instructors,
and they asked the riders not part of the class to give the students
plenty of room. I have one video where this fellow blows right off into
the grass in front of me. 8-)

Nice pics.

One way to stop the pipe grounding is to run the header under the engine. Bring the pipe out rear of the pegs.

No scraping then, unless you go over a high bump... ;)

...or you can go this way...no clearance issues...just make sure you have an effective leg guard...

I have been thinking through the frame out the back under the seat, I wish I could find a DCM frame, I know if I went under the engine that would solve the issue, just need to get a different header again. I am not sure if Hoos is still making under the engine pipes, was on the website a few days ago, did not show his standard race header. I will have to call Gary...

Upate: Race weekend was HOT I mean HOT 102 with 20% humidity, On Sat practice rounds I was turning 4 seconds faster on my times, I was thrilled.
Did not get to race Sat, no competition for my class, Sun 1 race only, I was pumped up, adrenalin was pumping i was excited as hell to get out there.

Ok here we go, I did not get to race, I lost my temper big time. I acted like 12 year old. 6 months of prep, 2000 dollars in upgrades 4 sec quicker, and a grid of 10 bikes out of 7 of them I can beat, looking at a podium finish. Then this happened..... Felt a little ashamed afterwards.

Oh Man! Bummer....
Was it Yogi that said," Half the game is 90% mental"? Dont beat yourself up, **it happens to us all.
Maybe look at it this way, God may have been protecting you from a BAD crash somewhere out there.
Works for me.
